How we reclaim at Further
Our reclaimation process is dedicated to minimizing the use of non-renewable resources. We do not spend copious amounts of fuel, and other resources getting exotic woods from the far corners of the earth to stock in our shop. We do, in fact, import reclaimed lumber from all over the world and enjoy working with exotic wood, however, we do try to utilize local resources as much as possible. All of the lumber we ship to our yard is done in full tractor trailer loads to minimize fuel consumption. It is then stored in such a way to dry naturally as much as possible, with minimal use of kilns. We then painstakingly remove all the nails and it heads to our sawmill, where it is cut to the sizes we need for your project.
